Congrats guys!

I got a 'status has been updated' email on the 8th Dec. A formal email inviting for an interview was sent out to me only on the 11th.

Congrats ! I presume you folks will be scheduling for the Jan interviews.

Any of you Internationals ? I haven't heard much of Intnls getting interview invites.

How do you plan to prepare for the "open-ended" Darden interviews ?

According to BW, the head of admissions is reviewing every application so that may be the reason for some of the delay in hearing from them. I am not sure about whether they will all be out by the end of the week.

hey guys do you know if its ok to exceed Darden's word limit of 300 words for the 2nd and 3rd essays. If so then by how much.

I'd say +/- 10% is a general rool. I wouldn't go beyond 330 words for essays 2 and 3.

I sure hope they are extending more interview invites...I have yet to receive one.

From what i have read, about 50 to 60% will get interview invites.

I intend to apply RD2 and i'm wondering if any of the RD1 candidates who exceeded the essay length limit have heard anything? My "main essay" (the 500 word one) is at 515 right now. I'd prefer the version which is at 545, both of these exceed the 500 limit, by 3% and 9% respectively. What do you guys think, is 515 okay? Could i go up to 545? I dont want adcoms to say i can't follow directions...

I can see only 3 essay questions....I don't see 'Optional Essay' anywhere....do they even allow one?

Anyone know what time is the deadline on 3rd? One of my recommenders is back only on Jan 3rd. Also, could anyone find a pdf/doc version of the recommendation? I've read that Darden allows them to be faxed along with transcripts so I might just request my mgr to fax.

See the pdf version attached. I would confirm with your admissions representative at Darden about accepting faxes from recommenders.
