So now that I want to do the Gmat, I think about how to prepare best. I bought the Kaplan 2007 and the Princeton 2002 (2002 because it was cheap). I also read a lot in this forum, but have problems understanding the short forms (of the book titles?).

SC
RC
OG
DS
AWA

Can please someone help me with this?

Thanks

Welcome to GMATClub !

SC = Sentence Correction (Verbal)
CR = Critical Reasonning (Verbal)
OG = Official Guide (version 10 or 11... now more 11)
DS = Data Sufficient (Quant)
PS = Problem Solving (Quant)
AWA = The 2 essays in front of the GMAT

Of course... They are fast definitions that u could deepen in some practice/guide books

Also, have a look on this post from Futuristic : http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=244281
