A brief bio...Age 28, Male.

I took the GMAT yesterday and scored a 700 (43 quant, 42 verbal), which I hope will be enough to get into one of the programs I am applying for. Unfortunately I ran out of time on my last integrated reasoning question, which was stupid and completely my fault, so I'm not expecting a high IR score, as there were a couple questions I made an educated guess on as I was running out of time. I should be fine on the essay. I read a few articles saying schools won't be paying very close attention to the IR score for another year or so, but is a poor integrated reasoning score likely to hurt my chances? I'll have to wait 20 days to see what it is.

As far as work experience, I graduated from UCF with a degree in Political science in 2006 (3.7 GPA). I was an aviation insurance agent the first year out of college, taught for a large helicopter flight school (and also worked my way into handling their marketing) a year after that, and then went on to found a flight school which I grew over the next 3 years. My business partner and I also started another company (as an offshoot of the flight school) building aviation-specific cameras for the cockpit, as well as aviation engine analyzers, which are both carried by popular aviation suppliers. While that company is still in business and profitable, we have phased out most of our products as my partner is working on the flight school full time now and I've been concentrating on GMAT studying. We do have two patents on our products.

I'm about to start putting together application packages, so I thought I would ask for some advice, as a couple of the schools to which I'm applying are top 10 schools. I'm planning to apply to Chicago, Carnegie Mellon, Northwestern, Yale, and Columbia. Do I have a shot?
