Is it advisable to apply for MBA 2013 in Round 1 if I am changing jobs in August 2010?

I have more than 5 years of WE and my next job is in a company that I wish to work post MBA but not functionally. I am unsuccessful in MBA 2012 application cycle.

That depends on:

1) How you can secure rec letters from previous employer (since your new bosses or colleagues probably are not qualified to write your rec letters)

2) How you can explain (if necessary) in your essays on why you had to change your job (especially for reapps)

I've seen this happen and people still got accepted to top schools. So it's not something that is going to be impossible.
