Asif purchased at x
Sold in 1.2 x
And then Fahad got loss of 1.2x * (.85) = 1.02 x
Then 1.02 x = 510,
Therefore , x = 600

Let sohan hourly wage is x
And hours he work is y
Then , (1.1x) * y = 1375
So, x * y = 1250

Then next statement tells
(1.1x) * (0.9y) = 0.99 * xy
Therefore it is 1237.5

With (1), we know that -x = 3y ie opposite signs. Substitute that into original equation, we will have 4|y| = 32. So y = +/- 8, thus x = +/- 24, and xy will be -192 regardless.
(2) only tells us 2|y| = 16, thus |x| = 24. but it doesnt give further information, thus unable to conclude x and y values without modulus

Could someone confirm the answer of the DS question (July 10)? In my opinion it’s -192 and at first I thought C is the correct answer since I first used both statements to arrive at the result. Then I noticed, that as stated by hazeljj 1 seems to be enough and actually A should be the correct choice.

Length of any side of triangle is greater than difference of other two side and less than sum of other two side. Therefore, third side will be 4<side<18.
As the third side is an integer so the length of the side should be 5 so as to have least perimeter.

The answer should be 5+7+11= 23

The average of the given set of integers is (35+40+50+60+65)/5 which is equal to 50. If the average decreases by 10% then the new avg becomes 50-5 I.e 45. Now the earlier sum (250 +p)/6 is the new avg which is equal to 45 . So 45*6 =250+p. So p=270-250 . Which comes out to be 20.
