Hi! Can someone pls explain how can the answer be E and not B. If we solve B then we are getting a fixed answer NO, so that means it’s sufficient
statement 1 gives us |x-1|<=1 This means the target statement is either equal to or less.
2) x>1 or x<-1
Rephrasing the target statement
|x-1|<1?
0<x<2?
As we can see, x>1 may be less than or greater than two. So B is ins.
3) given x>1 and x<-1 from 2 and 0=<x<=2, we can determine that 1<x<=2. Note that if x=2, then the target statement is equal to 1, but if it is not equal to 2, it is less than 1.
