X/Y=5/100 X/Y=1/20 Since we want to isolate Y, we get 20x=Y This is not an answer choice, however the equivalent (x/(5/100)) is. Poorly worded question though.
Yea framing of question was a bit weird. Thanks for confirming ans is A

I have all Bunuel’s compilations but I think I need more mid-level practice for the muscle memory & mental prep.
If you have exhausted all the club ques including the Forum Quiz and Club tests then my advice would be to practice official ques in mba.com. They are the most reliable and best source to practice.

In a factory X out of every Y items produced were found to be defective. If 5% of the items produced during a day were found to be defective, what was the total number of items produced that day?
(A) x/.05
(B) 95x
(C) 20x/y
(D) 20y
(E) None of these

Can anyone clarify the answer? got 2 from different sources

Ignore this question as it is not correct. The statement "x out of every y items produced were found to be defective," and the fact that 5% of the items produced during a day were found to be defective, both indicate that 1 out of 20 items is defective. That's all we know.

But this list does not include official ques. So, is it advisable to practice the ques from this list?

Okay so I browsed through all the official Q’s. tbh, I think all these additional Q’s are helpful for practice. Like I can confirm that Veritas Q’s werent as good as the OG Q’s but the way the Q’s were written really helped to understand the concepts. I saw improvements on my end.

Or the way Manhattan Prep pushes your thinking skills.

Personally, if the Q is posted from Bunuel, I’ll do it. Thats my gauge cause it surely means Its Bunuel approved practice.

I really cannot comment on this. But someone had advised me to stick to the official stuff only otherwise it would hurt our performance. So, not so sure about it how wise it would be to go for an unofficial stuff.

Thanks Malar95, for your response. Your concern towards my problems is much appreciated.

Hey, we’re a team here. Sure we all have our good and bad days from the exhaustion of studying (me,late at night stumbling as I respond to ya’ll) and normal stuffs in our personal life that can impact our responses here also.
But beyond that, its team effort here. Everyone plays a role even if they fail to properly address the issue.

Sure! I agree that we all are like a team and ready to help each other as we all are on the same boat. So, it would be a great lesson for all of us to learn something new from each other’s mistakes. It has also been important for all of us to have a growth mindset. This GMAT journey is not a alone journey without everyone’s support we cannot sail through the storm.
