Cost of gravelling a path (of uniform width) outside a 20m long & 30m wide rectangular garden at the rate of Rs 10 per m² is 14000 Rs. if this path is to be covered with red & yellow square tiles of side 5m such that red tiles are only used to cover the outline of the path, then find difference between total number of red & yellow color tiles used.
Options are:
0,10,14,8,4

Anyone? I’m not getting this question

I’m not sure if it’s correct, would appreciate if someone can confirm / rectify but here it is:
Based on the info, area of garden would be 30*20= 600 m^2

Cost was 14000 rs so area covered by path = 1400 m^2

Area covered per tile based on dimension of tile is 25m^2

So number of tiles required:

1. 1400-600= 800/25 = 32
2. 600/25= 24

Difference: 32-24= 8

Need some advice on prep. I was told to focus on one section at a time. Depending upon the current skill, complete either quant first and then go to verbal or vice versa.

Avg of these 5 numbers is 20
So S is 10c^2

You can find the SD in terms of C and SD>6
So it comes out as |c| >3*sqrt2

Is -7, - 5 the answer?

2^a 8^b = 64 and 9^a3^b = 27, then what is the value of a? A .1/2 B. 3/5 C .2/3 D .1 E .3/2
Make the base 2 for first equation and 3 for second. You’ll get a+3b = 6 and 2a + b=3 . Solve this you’ll get a=3/5
