I am breaking it down to n(n2-1)

And I know 2 digit numbers - so total are 90 possible numbers.

Now multiple of 12 means 2x2x3x anything

So how many n(n2-1) have 2 2’s and 1 3

Now is the tricky part. I can do it long method. But that won’t be correct

How to find the total number of ways of forming subcommittees from a group of 6 members ? Should we add different combinations or multiply it? Like 6c1 + 6c2 .....+ 6c6. Or 6c1*6c2*......*6c6

Add. Or do 2^6 - 1. That is assuming the committee can have 1 or more members.

Got it from one of the Practice handouts. A friend shared.

A Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C BOTH statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

For (1) we'd have x*1.05^2 = $11,025, which we can solve for x and answer the question. Sufficient.

For (2) we'd have:
The interest amount earned for the third quarter = x*1.05^2 * 0.05.
The interest amount earned for the second quarter = x*1.05 * 0.05.

Thus, x*1.05^2 * 0.05 - x*1.05 * 0.05 = x*1.05 * 0.05(1.05 - 1) = $26.25, which we can solve for x and answer the question. Sufficient.

Answer: D.

Hope it helps.
