Three mixtures containing water and milk in ratios of 2:3, 4:5 and 3:4 are mixed in a proportion of 5:9:14. Find the fraction of the resulting mixture that needs to be replaced with milk for this mixture to contain 75 per cent milk

We look for 5/12 of only water as 5/12 of milk is getting replaced by milk. so actually it is 5/12 of entire mix
So, 5 liter of water needs to be changed into milk for the milk to be 75%. But why is it not that 5 out of 28 liter need to be changed to milk and not just 5 out of 12 literHarshR9

A passenger train which is partially filled with passengers came to station B from station A(without stoppages). All the
passengers get down from the train at B and 30% of total passengers in the train has station B as their destination
while remaining have to move to other places from station B. Passengers who went to place C is 12 less those who
have B as its destination. Out of passengers who went to C, 52 are females. Remaining passengers has place D has
their destination, out of which ratio of male to female passengers is 4: 3.
Can anyone help me to solve this?
