Let’s assume for June: teh lowest temp was 10 and highest was 30 >>> which means the range was 30-20

Now for July let’s start at the same lowest temp because want the smallest rest for Jun-Jul: this means lowest would be 10 and highest would be 35 for the range to be 25

So now, the July range can accommodate the June range since the June is smaller, but vice versa is not true

Does it help?

9C5 - ((6C5) * 3) = 126 - (6 * 3) = 108

My logic is 9C5 is the total no. of possible arrangements where as 6C5 is the total number of possible arrangements if we ignore ONE row. And we ignore each row once, so 6C5 * 3.

A box contains three pairs of blue gloves and two pairs of green gloves. Each pair consists of a left-hand glove and a right-hand glove. Each of the gloves is separate from its mate and thoroughly mixed together with the others in the box. If three gloves are randomly selected from the box, what is the probability that a matched set (i.e., a left- and right-hand glove of the same color) will be among the three gloves selected? I’m solving but there is something wrong on my calculations, can you help guys
