If x and y are nonzero integers such that -12≤ x ≤ 1 and -4≤ y ≤10, what is the sum of the minimum and the maximum possible values of x/y?

A. -8
B. -4
C. 0
D. 4
E. 8

hi guys for this question, is there a standard that can be followed? i saw discussions coming up with 12 and -`12 and summing them to get the answer 0. Is there a way to determine how to tackle such questions of there is a slight modification in the question?

This question is discussed here: https://gmatclub.com/forum/if-x-and-y-a ... 45932.html

A puts 1 gallon extra per minute so therefore to put 100 gallons extra in the end , they have to work together for 100 minutes
Isnt DS2 - If the work rate of each person is identical, how long it takes for 5 people to complete a job?

(1) The required number of hours for 12 people to complete the job is 7 hours less than that for 5 people to complete the job
(2) It takes 6 hours for 3 people to complete the job

D?

Oops C

Total work W=n*r*t , n=#people
Need t=W/5r
1) W/5r -W/12r=7
Ie 7W/60r=7 ie w/5r=12 so sufficient

2) 6*r*3=W I.e W/5r=18/5=3.6
So sufficient
So D

You should study the concepts first ( preferably Manhattan ) and then start solving OG.

I suggest start with quants if you have maths background

Otherwise verbal

DI should be the last topic to do

Coz it includes all quants and some reasoning skills

Hey Kalpak bhai

Got it

I was thinking something else .. I forgot

does anyone know if OG online portal ( something from mba.com) has a list of questions for each department?

And if can be accessed without actually purchasing the books
