A puts 1 gallon extra per minute so therefore to put 100 gallons extra in the end , they have to work together for 100 minutes

But the duration t can’t be obtained from the fact that they have put 800 gallons together. 800=a*t+b*t=(2b+1)t ( assuming rates per minute for A and B are a and b and a=b+1) .
But b is unknown.
