I just wanted to let everyone know that I decided to withdraw my app from Booth. With my Sloan, Tuck, and Haas admits in hand, I feel comfortable deciding among those three (unless Kellogg offers me a massive scholarship). Hopefully someone on GC snags that interview spot and converts it into an admit!

Hi All - I am a first year Booth student who went through this brutal process last year. Happy to answer any questions or hopefully quell any fears you may have. Perusing this forum definitely brings back some not so pleasant memories. A few things I wish I had heard before I went through this process: 1) Ignore any status indicator on your application. It is meaningless. If Booth needs more info or something doesn't come through, they will contact you, so stop worrying 2) The time at which you hear about getting an interview is meaningless. It is entirely random. Do not read into it one way or the other 3) The waitlist is a good place to be. Lots of my fellow classmates admitted off the waitlist 4)

I've just called the adcom and they assured me that they consider only self-reports on GMAT and TOEFL untill you're admitted, so no worries and good luck!

Sorry - got cut off 4) Ignore anything you hear about the class being "oversubscribed" prior to the final round(s). This was rampant my year with lots of admitted students claiming they knew no waitlisters would be admitted because the directory showed too many admitted students. This is all speculation and the numbers are generally wrong 5) Related to number 2 - Try not to read into everything so much. There is a huge temptation to get any new information or indication for every data point. The truth is, most of the things you read and hear mean nothing. You really won't know until you know. Until then try to enjoy your life and don't think about b-school

Does anyone know when we will get access to the admitted students website? Do we have to accept admission first?
Wondering the same ...
I believe they are separate. When you accept admission, you also have to pay your deposit...just like wen you submitted your app and had to pay your fee.
Last year we were all a bit confused about having to accept admission in order to get on the admitted students site. I think there is a link on your application status page that asks you to accept admission. Just do it. This does not mean you are committing to Booth. It just gives you access to the admitted students portal. You aren't officially committed until you pay your money which you don't have to do for a while.

IN!
My phone died at 3:45 pm... I took the train home, plugged in my phone at 5:30 and saw a voicemail from 5:15 pm. I was told that I was near the end of the day just because I was in the same timezone and the lady (Carrie, not sure about spelling) had to call a bunch of int'l applicants first.
She didn't say anything about a scholarship, but frankly I don't care!
