The answer is 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 points .You need to just visualize.

2,4,6

if intersect refers to crossing a side of trinagle, it has to be 2,4,6
try draint a circle that crosses only one side, it will alweays intersct twice
or it will intersect two sides

if intersect refers to just touching the line

then answer would be 1,2,3,4,5,6

I will go with 2,4,6 (B)

The answer should be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - since contact points do not have to intersect, only to touch.

Visualization is key here. You need to consider circles that have contact points that are tangential to the triangle.

If that doesn't help, I can try to draw them out.

I dont understand how the circle can intersect the triangle just once. Neither do I understand three intersections.
In my opinion it should be 2,4,6 (even numbers).
However, I don't think I can argue with the OA.
Can somebody explain better

Saurster,

You have to consider contact points where the edge of the triangle is tangential to the circle.

thanks atrshep. I do however take issue with the wording of the question. In my opinion, touching(tangent) is not the same as intersection.
If I had seen this on the real GMAT, I would have chosen the answer 2,4,6.
Maybe, my understanding of circles is rudimentary but I will still argue that intersection is not the same as touching(tangent)
