Hey guys. For those who have paid their deposit, did you get a confirmation from the school? If so, approximately how long after you sent it did they confirm?

I submitted via overnight mail Friday, they confirmed they received the deposit Monday afternoon.

Thanks acrew09!

Mine took almost 2 weeks for them to deposit but I got a status update on the website within a few days of mailing the check.

Does anyone know roughly what the average lag time has been from interview feedback submission to decision? My feedback was submitted on the 18th.

Like the new name nyukellogg! My feedback was submitted Jan 18, pretty sure they called me Jan 30th, but since they didn't reach me, didn't call back until Feb 1st. So my decision technically ran the full 2 week timeframe they give you. I believe others have heard sooner though.

Amazing! So may I ask how you reconciled that with your brand management questions from earlier? As that's one of my two target industries (today), I'm curious how you made your choice.

Thanks Dakells! Hopefully Wharton turns out well - fingers crossed. Our lists are pretty close + I also did investment banking! I'd be interested to know why you picked CBS?

I received a decision 9 days after my feedback was submitted (includes a weekend a President's Day Monday) so I'd say 6-7 business days. However, a friend of mine had to wait 3 weeks before she received her decision. I'm sure someone has done an analysis on the average days based on previous posts...

Feeling the pain of unresponsive interviewers! First choice is out of town, 2nd hasn't responded over 3 days, and just emailed the 3rd this morning. So much damn suspense haha

I had read about the unresponsiveness prior to receiving invite and now that I am invited I'm experiencing the same thing. 2 emails sent out with no response. I have to wonder though - CBS provided me with the ambassadors' CBS emails. Why on earth would a 2001 graduate still check his CBS email? Unless if he has automatic forwards set up, but I am still skeptical because I can't imagine someone seeing an email and just flat out NOT responding.

Perhaps if CBS took care of the initial facilitation of communication this would be a more seamless process. Either way - I came this far - I WILL set up this interview!

This process is EXTREMELY frustrating. I can't do a re-search and I reached out to my 3 options several times. Only one response and then the person went radio silent for 3 days.

UGH!

Dear Columbia, I have query related to regular program MBA

For an Indian male applicant of age 30 ,average academics(10th-70% ,12th- 63% Graduation-60%) and having work experience of 73 months with GMAT score 750 for such an applicant who is interested to apply for Columbia MBA program how much scholarship can be expected?[if at all his form is accepted]

For such an applicant whose acads are average should i consider that chances are bleak for an applicant with average acads as mentioned above to get a call.

Thanks And Regards
ankit!

Anyone know the cutoff for need-based financial aid? I made over 100k last year and have 100k in assets.

If I won't qualify, I won't fill it out. Don't want to leave any stone unturned because it said 65% of students received something.

Feel free to transfer assets to my account (temporarily, of course) haha...

But in all seriousness, I'd call the financial aid office. They'll give you a general idea so you don't waste your time - (212) 854-4057

Just so you are aware this forum is all students and individuals applying to CBS, nobody from the admissions office is monitoring this discuss. That being said, you have missed the application deadline for scholarships. That deadline was back on 9 January. So you might receive a need-based scholarship which ranges from around \$2,000-\$10,000 depending on your income and assets however you won't be eligible for any merit based scholarships.

Even if you hadn't missed the deadline it is virtually impossible to tell you what kind of scholarship, if any, you would receive. Unfortunately Columbia is one of the stingiest schools in the Top 15-20 so they don't give out much aid at all.

truth to that - "Unfortunately Columbia is one of the stingiest schools in the Top 15-20 so they don't give out much aid at all. "
