Dear GMATClub members,
I passed the test a couple of days ago, but I have one serious concern. Implementing AWA I forgot that I need to confirm the answer to the expiry of the time. And I was checking myessay to the last moment. Then time was over, and I come to senses. The program issued the message that the time was up and I clicked on OK.
Tell me, please, whether my essay will be scored up in this case or not?

Thanks,
Nikolay

Oh, happy to report that you are fine and your essay has been saved and will be graded and counted fully as it was the second before you ran out of time.
The system automatically confirms and submits it (same as if you choose an answer on the Q or V section but don't actually confirm it).

Therefore for the rest of ya, the lessons are:
1. You can just sit and let the clock run out during your AWA
2. When on the last Q and V question, make sure you mark any answer choice before you start solving so that the system counts it at the end (the worst thing is a skipped question).
Hope you did well otherwise.

Happy Holidays!

For Q and V, I had bad experience with Gmatprep. I did mark my answer but it was not counted
