(A) Contrasting with the works of the rationalists, Comparison error - the work of rationalist is directly compared with Hume, and hence an illogical comparison.
(B) In contrast with the rationalists’ work, Comparison error - the rationalist's work is directly compared with Hume, and hence an illogical comparison.
(C) In contrast to those of the rationalists, Comparison error - works of rationalists are directly compared with Hume, and hence an illogical comparison.
(D) Unlike that of the rationalists, Comparison error - here that refer to work, and again the work of rationalists is directly compared with Hume, and hence an illogical comparison.
(E) Unlike the rationalists - Fixes the comparison error, Hume is correctly compared with the rationalists.

I too believe the answer should be E. A has a wrong comparison.

Correct Answer: Compare Human(Hume) w/ Human

Unlike X, Y is correct idiomatic usage, hence correct Answer must be (E)
