Good luck. Eventually I'll be brave enough to sign up for the exam, but that time wont be now.

Believe me..it took a great deal of courage for me just to sign up for the exam..but once you do,believe me the whole process changes..you become even more serious and the "off-days" (which I for one had too often when i just did'nt "feel like studying") really reduces..
I know a great deal of people suggest to first book the date and then start studying..so that you have the "raring to go " spirit from day 1..see if that will work for you!

Not a bad idea. Thanks for the advice Tejal. Originally i was planning to schedule it once I reach a level like a 700 or higher on the GMAT prep, but I have no idea when that will be and I feel like i will be just wasting time at that pace. I have taken the GRE a few years back and by scheduling it in advance, it definitely gave me that push to study much harder for it.

Wow. Thanks for an inspiring post. I am so burned out from studying for the past 4 months. This is taking such a tolll on my family, my kids, my husband, myself. Trying to balance work, family, and study. Thanks for the reminder that the hard work has a purpose. My test is on Jan. 15th. I'lll keep plugging.

Great debrief. Thanks for the reminder that it's about being satisfied at the end of the day. I haven't sat for the test yet and initially my agenda was to simply get a score to apply to school. Not having a score is my only true barrier at this point. As I log on to gmat club, I appreciate and respect the test more which I guess motivates me to give it my best and beat the test. I must say that I do aspire to reach the 700 club and will keep in mind your advice about being real with oneself in light of practice scores realized and unrealized.

Congratulations again and I wish you much success in the application process.
