Hi
This question has inference question stem but some how I feel the answer is an assumption. With pre-thinking process I was staring at this question for 10 minutes to figure out whether its inference according to question stem or an assumption because of its answermixed. Could you please clarify how the inference question has ended up with an assumption choice as an answer?

First, you should write out the entire question.
Second, prethinking is a strategy for strengthen/weaken and sometimes for assumption but NEVER for inference.
