Analysis :
- Parallelism Error - Both X and, Y : X and Y should be parallel
- Pronoun Error :The pronoun "Them" should have a logical antecedent. In the sentence it seems like "them" refers to Salespeople.

A) both to allocate salespeople to specific stores and to prevent them - Pronoun Error - Incorrect
B) both to allocate salespeople to specific stores and prevent these stores - Parallelism error - Incorrect
C) both to allocate salespeople to specific stores and to prevent these stores - Correct
D) to both allocate salespeople to specific stores and prevent them - Pronoun Error - Incorrect
E) to both allocate salespeople to specific stores, preventing them - The use of both is to mention 2 entities, here there is just one. - Incorrect.

A) both to allocate salespeople to specific stores and to prevent them -- "them" has ambiguous referent (salespeople or stores)
B) both to allocate salespeople to specific stores and prevent these stores -- both X and Y parallelism is not maintained.
C) both to allocate salespeople to specific stores and to prevent these stores -- CORRECT, errors in A and B are rectified.
D) to both allocate salespeople to specific stores and prevent them -- same as A
E) to both allocate salespeople to specific stores, preventing them -- same as A
