Scored 540 in my second gmat prep test.My official test day is just 6 days later.
From last 5 months I am religiously studying for GMAT, when i gave my last Gmat prep, around 1 month back i scored 610, after that i work really very hard atleast to increase my score by 30 points.
In between i gave MGMAt and scored 640, powerprep-660, reloaded my first test and i got 680. So i was hoping to get atleast 640-650 in my second gmat prep test and atleast similiar score in official test.
But to my dismay i only scored 540 , .Initially I tought to reschdule my test date , but as only 6 days are left i will not save any money for rescheduling . So I thought to give it.I am so disappointed that i didn't even sleep whole night. i dont even feel like studying further as 1 week is too less to imporove on anything.
I lost my confidence and with this i think i will not be able to do my best in real test.

Relax Neha,

GMAT is a bit like the one day cricket match (I think you'll get the point assuming you're from India)

you can only practise as much..............If you have certain weak areas that havent improved much, one week will not make too much of a difference.

I'd suggest you just work hard on reviewing concepts, reviewing the common mistakes you have been making all this while.

Finally, try to stay calm on the test day and take the test as it comes. Dont stress too much.

I stressed myself out a couple of days before the test and didnt do as well as I know I could have.

GMAT is like one day cricket, as long as you have the basics in place, all you gotta do out there is believe in yourself and play every ball as it comes.

If you get scoped out facing a real fast bowler even before he bowls his first ball, you'll not score much...................I think you get the point

Thanks ashish for your comments, it surely helped me to again focus on gmat to give my best game.

Actually from past one month i am studying so hard that i think i nearly burned out my self. :( Quantative is my strength but when i reviewed my questions it was all silly mistakes, either i misread the quetions or wrong calculations thats all what i did.
But this can happen in real gmat as well :(

Thats where time management comes into play.

Let me give you an example: I know my strength in verbal is SC.

So I dont spend more than a minute solving the SC questions.

The time I gain is ultimately utilized in solving RC questions.

I know that merely skimming through doesnt work for me in RC.

So i add precious minutes to my test by solving SC questions quicker and utilizing that time solving RC which is a challenge area for me.

Same can apply to Math.
