Essays: haven't written them yet but they will be good
Do I have a solid chance at getting into a top-7 school if I apply to all of them?
Edit: perhaps should have mentioned I am a white American male.
Hello
TryingToPass,
Thanks for writing in.
On the face of it, yes, you definitely have a chance at making it to the M7.
Having said the above, you have not provided us with enough details on the work you've done and the reason for the shift from banking to real-estate. Frankly, much will depend on how you portray your strengths through your essays and the feasibility of your career plans. In addition, you have not shared any details pertaining to your extra-curricular activities and the Admissions Committee would be looking out for those, as well.
R1 next year would definitely be a better option; however, if you are confident that your essays will be in great shape, you could look at the later rounds for Fall 2019, as well.
Good Luck!
