The student hosts that you are matched with (formally and informally), do they debrief to adcom members? Anyone here with experience being one here? I'm talking about during on-campus interviews and the student host seemed to be testing my fit

From my personal experience, they are generally invited to share any thoughts/reactions/comments -- usually qualitative in nature only. I'm sure each school has a slightly different take -- the 'host' opinion is only one of MANY factors considered in evaluation.

Hey there,

Brian's right. Think about cursory interactions like restaurant reviews. If you're good or average, they probably won't say anything. But if you're great or terrible (it cuts both ways) I can guarantee you they'll say something. Just be polite to everyone (EVERYONE) and be genuine. Don't steamroll over others to share things about your profile or ask unnecessary questions. Be kind, engaging, and fun. Essentially, be someone the host would like to have in a team for a class. THAT is the goal.

Bhavik provides some great advice here. And this is an attitude/mindset that is worth applying not only for applying to business school.. but during business school, during networking, etc. Rare exceptions aside, people generally don't like hanging out with jerks!
