Do top B-schools penalize you for taking the GMAT more than once?

This has been a burning question of mine and I can't seem to get a good answer on it anywhere .... It would be extremely helpful to understand the answer to this prior to taking the test. Thank you so much for your help!

From what I hear, they mainly look at your highest score, unless they specifically specify (i.e. Anderson-UCLA averages your score if you take it more than twice).
