Sorry if this is slightly off-top from GMAT.

I have applied to HAAS EWMBA program. do you have to be in a manager role to be able to be accepted in top MBA programs. I had direct reports with my past employer. I am a technical lead, but I do not have direct reports as we have consultants. The developers that I manage have more experience than me, hence they report to my director.

I researched some old threads and found that Haas evening and weekend program dinged some candidates because they are not in a management role.

Please post your experience.
