The answer is (C), Mistook simple menstrual cramps for endometriosis. This preserves the original meaning of the sentence.

This is also about logic- a treatable condition i.e simple mentrual cramps is mistaken for the untreatable condition endometriosis.

OA is C. OE is above. The trick here is to read the whole sentence that many people don't read. If you don't read the whole sentence you may end up selecting B.
