Hi!

I gave Gmat a few days back. I got:
700( 89 percentile)
Quant 51 (97 percentile)
Verbal 31 (60 percentile)

I am planning to apply to top 10 US univs for MBA. I wanted to know how bad is the verbal score and can it be offset by 5.5 in AWA ?

Please advice as I want to evaluate weather I should give the gmat again or not?

Your aggregate score holds very importance compared to individual sections. If it is quite low in any section, b-schools would try to judge on that part by looking at your transcripts or other section of your application. Though you have a low verbal score, I think you may not need to appear for GMAT again. You should focus all your energies on application essays. This would significantly increase your chances. Good luck!
