My exam is just 2 days away and my preparation is complete.
I am a working professional and have been preparing for the GMAT since 3 months.
I bought the
e-gmat study material and started my preparation.
I gave a mock just to asses where I stood after familiarising myself with the topics and question types .
GMATprep1 - 620(Q49 V26)
I was confident about my quant skills and needed to work on verbal.
My goal from the beginning was to score around 700-720.
So making some calculations my target was Q50,V34-36.
I went through
e-gmat material and the
OG simultaneously and found
e-GMAT really very useful.
I was confident that my skill level was increasing.
I finished most of my preparation 2 weeks before my GMAT and started taking mocks.(I did realise that i was taking really long in my RC's)
I gave my first mock after preparation and scored 670
I gave a number of mocks because I realised the problem was not in my skill level , but in my time management.
GMATprep 2 -> 670(Q50 V29) --> timing issue
GMATprep 3-> 640(Q50 V27) --> timing issue
GMATprep 4 -> 690(Q50 V33) --> bettered my timing and handling
GMATprep 5 -> 700(Q50 V34) --> Timing bettered but still not up to mark (I had to mark 1 full RC as C)
GMATprep 6 (Two days before my exam i.e today) --> 620(Q49 V26)
What the hell were my 3 months for when i scored exactly the same as my first mock.
Note :- I was reasonably fresh and motivated.
On analysis I found that I got 9/14 RC questions incorrect.
I was bad at RC but usually manage to get 50% of the questions correct at least . And these RC's were probably not so tough either.
Too many RC's incorrect completely ruined it.
Let's see how much i score on the actual GMAT.
I am pretty chilled out and will spend tomorrow just revising my notes and reading some essays.
I will post in this thread ,my final score, day after.
