For the original question, statement (i) is sufficient and was not that hard to conclude so. For statement (ii), plugged in numbers (2^3 is not divisible by 12 but 6^3 is divisible by 12) and was relatively straight forward that (ii) is insufficient.

The revised question posted by Bunuel made it a test of the divisibility. Surely made it different.
