That doesn't happen. You will get a decision in any case by Monday.

They said I am admitted if I tell them that I will accept. I got the ding just 30 min ago... so weird. I feel deceived

This makes no sense. Did adcom call you to admit you? And then the status update online is a ding?

I figured it was a yield play to make sure I dont decline. The interviewer contacted me a couple of days after. I know it sounds weird, but... thats the way it is. I am just happy I rejected one school, but still have two more that I was admitted to and waiting to hear from Kellogg next week. Btw; if I wouldn't be telling this story, I would not believe it, lol.

Were you WL from EA/R1? I know people who get off WLs and the first thing they ask is if you want the spot. Most people say yes, whether that's the truth or not...

Thanks tinkered! I must admit I was crushed when Kellogg dinged me in Rd 1. Decided to have a break and submitted my Duke application from a holiday villa in Bali.

I was just thinking if should take that trip to Bali I've been dreaming about. Then I saw your post. I guess I'll use my deposit money to take that trip and try again next year

highwyre237, have you done anything to try to get yourself off the waitlist from Fuqua? It seems like you are really into Fuqua. I like Fuqua a lot too, and was surprised to find out that I am waitlisted. But I feel I have no energy to fight to get in at this point. I don't know how much of difference a Fuqua MBA and a Johnson MBA can make for my future.

This is the part of the process that really irks me. I don't even want to think about how much everything has cost to this point...let alone the actual tuition fees. Sigh.
