Duopoly in the consumer electronics market may be encouraging both companies to set prices in their own favor; small devices such as camera are, for instance, sold for a lofty \$500.

Here we have a conditional form. So...

A. small devices such as camera are, for instance, sold
Why the present are sold? We have a conditional form, we are proposing examples. I rule out this

B. as an instance, small cameras are sold
Similar to A

C. like selling small devices such as camera
Like is wrong. We are giving examples, so like is ruled out

D. such as selling small devices like camera
The present continuos doesn't work. We are giving examples in the conditional form, so...

E. as an instance, small devices like camera might be selling
E is correct. As an instance introduces the concept of example, while might be selling is conditional

E in my opinion

IMO A

Since we have semicolon before the underlined part the underlined part should be a complete sentence
Therefore ruling out C D E

Now between A and B prefer for instance over as an instance so

A Is the correct choice

Correct me if wrong

kanthaliya B is wrong because "as an instance" is not the correct idiom. However, you're better off studying the official SC question from which this was copied. You may notice that B has more to make it wrong in that case:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/growing-comp ... 73756.html

By the way, one could argue that B is actually the best choice here, since it is the only one that correctly pluralizes "cameras"!
