Doesn't C(AVG)>J(AVG)-2.5 imply that the average (arithmetic mean) number of books that Carolyn read per week was fewer than the average number of books that Jacob read per week!
Is it not suff?

Hi Artemov,

I think it's INSUFF
Let me try to explain my line of toughts.....
U r trying to say: J(AVG)-C(AVG)<2.5
the inequality can take multiple values....so INSUFF

Wht's the OA?

OA is (A)...........I don't agree with it.

Lets say
the avg no of books that carol(C) reads is 7
the avg no of books that Jacob(J) reads is 9

So actuatlly J>C

but 2C>2J-5
i.e 14> (18-5)
