'E' may not be 100% right as I believe 'had' is missing after they...

it should have been 'princely states they had visited'.

I am stuck between 'B' and 'E'

'C' can be the least possible because after 'journals' it is for sure we need either 'which' or 'that'

Late but E!
C cannot be the answer because:
Emily Eden and Fanny Parks journeyed - simple past tense
C contains: princely states which they have visited- present perfect tense.

E.

In C there is a couple of problems. 'to form' is not correct, and 'which' is unnecessary

I agree E is the answer. All the verbs are in the simple past tense in this choice
