Each of the letters in the table attached represents one of the numbers 1, 2, or 3, and each of these numbers occurs exactly once in each row and exactly once in each column. What is the value of r?

(1) v + z = 6

(2) s + t + u + x = 6

I will go with B. r= 3

Statement 1: V is 3 and z is 3
Statement 2: s + t + u + x = 6
The only value that will satisfy this equation is when
s + t is 3 and u + x is 3.
Since s + t is 3 which means that one of them will be 2 and the other one will be 1, so r has to be 3

v+z=6 => v=3, z=3. This means that s and t cannot be 3 because they are in the same column as v and z respectively. Since one number in the top row has to be a 3, r = 3
