(1) x > y > z
(2) y = 4

Give : x, y, z are +ve integers
All single digit ie between 1 to 9

now find no. of digits in x+y+z

1)x>y>z
Max sum = > 9>8>7 => 9+8+7 = 24 ie 2 digits
Min sum => 3>2>1 => 3+2+1 = 6 ie 1 digit

No definite answer . Not sufficient

2) y= 4, does not tell us about other two variables.
Not sufficient

1+2
x> y> z and y =4

By 1 we have found that max no. of digit in sum can be 2 digit.
Now we have to check if y=4 can eliminate no. of digit in sum as 1.

Assume minimum possible values of x and z when y = 4
As x>y>z and all are positive integers
minimum value combination = x=5, y=4 and z=1 => 5>4>1 sum = 5+4+1 = 10 ie 2 digits

3>2>1 single digit (sum)
9>8>7 two digit (SUM)

No info re x and z

both of the give the sum of two digit integer
