Which top schools (1-25) have Early Decision other than Columbia and Tuck?

Darden and UNC both have early action - but they are a little different. UNC's acceptance date is early (December 15th) and you have to accept within 2-3 weeks. This likely prevents you from hearing from other programs, forcing some students to put down their deposit and eat it if they decide to go elsewhere. Darden, on the other hand, does not release their EA decisions until February, which coincides with most R1 decisions. There may be slightly larger deposits associated with each program. According to their website, UNC asks for $2500, which is a bit larger than normal (can't find the info for Darden's deposit amount). This may discourage some applicants from backing out if they get another offer. EA, to the best of my knowledge, is always non-binding.

I believe these are the only two.

I know Riverripper was admitted to Northwestern in November though, and he applied Round 1. That is pretty darn close to early decision...

Isnt Darden's EA just what they call Round 1? Or do they expect you to attend like Columbia's ED?

Do they state you have a better chance if you apply EA? What's the advantage?

Tuck actually has an EA round, which is non binding. So it's not really the same as ED. Tuck's is basically just a round 1 that they call EA for some reason (though I do think they require your decision faster than usual and ask for a little bit bigger of a deposit).

Cornell has a R1 with decisions sent out in the beginning of Dec. Also some top schools release decisions (or have recently but that may change if apps go way way up) before deadlines. Wharton and Chicago both released decisions before Xmas break this year. Kellogg does rolling so many R1 folks found out before xmas, I have heard a few people found out before thanksgiving (I got in at the end of Nov).

I had schools set up by deadline dates, it seems like most schools are in the same general time but not the same day.
