There is a question regarding employment gaps on both the HBS and GSB apps - given that I graduated college in January and started an Investment Banking job in July (standard Analyst class cycle), is this something I need to address or is it common enough that it doesn't raise any questions? For context, I spent some of that time traveling (and took the GMAT then).

Thanks!

I think this is pretty common and I doubt this will hurt your application. Just put a little note in the additional comments section or the optional essay.

Thanks - Yeah I'm not worried about it per se, I'm just wondering whether it makes sense to even call attention to it with a note in the additional information. That make sense?

Hey there,

You definitely need to make a small note of it. It's fairly standard and relatively wide spread but a simple sentence will suffice.

Explain it, but be brief, factual and don't get defensive.

I was in a similar boat, having finished school in May, but not starting my first job till January.
