Equation of a line is given as 3x+2y=6. What is the sum of the x intercept and y intercept of this line?

A. 3

B. -3

C. -5

D. 5

E. 4

At x intercept $$y = 0$$

So, $$3x+2y=6$$

Or, $$3x+2*0=6$$

Thus, $$x = 2$$

At y intercept $$x = 0$$

So, $$3x+2y=6$$

Or, $$3*0+2y=6$$

Thus, $$2y = 6$$

Hence, $$y = 3$$

$$x + y = 5$$, Answer must be (D)
