I think an error log is a list of the errors you make when you are practicing. You use the error log check your errors back from time to time to be sure you don't commit the same kind of mistakes.

You might want to customise the error according to your needs. There's no one size fits all kind of tool here. What you can do , is to look for some in the sticky posts here and see if they are useful to you. If not, you can just customize them to suit your requirements.

There's a pretty fancy error log somewhere in the sticky with a built in timer. But I chose not to use it. Mine is just a simple excel sheet, with the columns I need, and I take my timing using a stopwatch.

I'll put mine up later today, so you can go research, and do some mix and match.
