I will go with my ear (C) . It may be (A) though.

I dont know the usage of "even as". I guess it is opposite of "even though". In that case (A) will be better.

If anyone has any example of "even as", please share. Thanks

Now, I am sure that it is (A). "even" is only emphasising on 'as'.
