Every painting hanging in the Hoular Gallery is by a French painter. No painting in the Hoular Gallery is by a Vorticist. Only Vorticists use acrylic monochromes in their works.
If the information above is true, which of the following must also be true?
(A) No French painters are Vorticists.
(B) All Vorticists use acrylic monochromes in their works.
(C) Some French painters do not use acrylic monochromes in their works.
(D) No French painters use acrylic monochromes in their works.
(E) All French painters who use acrylics use acrylic monochromes in their works.

I dont understand the OA.. but may be the OA is wrong.. I will post OA tomm.. In my opinion it should be D

I think C is it.

Only Vorts and No one else uses acrylic. No Vorts are in the gallery. Therefore, everyone in the gallery is a non-acrylic painter. Everyone in the gallery is also French. Therfore some french are non-acrylic.
(FYI...There could be other french painters who are not in the gallery, who are vorts and use acrylic).

I agree C is the right answer. Here is my explanation:

Every painting in the gallery is by a french painter. There might be many french painters but the ones in the gallery are by a few of these french painters. The argument also says that none are V and V's use acrylic. So C leads us to the conclusion that some french painters do not use acrylic.
