Yes got to be (C).
The french painters paintings in the gallery cannot have acrylic monochrome used in it.

Because some french painters can be vorticists.Vorticists are a classification of painters.

One can safely assume that only some of the paintings of french painters are in Hoular Gallery. None of these paintings are by Vorticists. And only these paintings do not have acrylic monochrome element. We do not know about other french painters, whose paintings are not in gallery.

So can we say only "some of the french paintings/or painters do not use acrylic monochromes.."? I think we can.

Hence C and not D.
