I originally wanted a explanation but now found one. Posting for reference:

Like: Used to compare people/things
As: Used to compare clauses (Any phrase that includes a verb)
Such As: For Example....

correct.

be careful with such as. it sometimes has a middle man to distract you.

Example:
There were many toy recalls in such categories as Barbie dolls, yo-yos, and marbles.
