The sentence makes a comparison with female sparrows and immatures. Female sparrows and immatures are quite nondescript compared to X, so X must be adult males. Eliminate A, B, D.

Eliminate E because whose is not followed by any verb.

Hence, the answer is C.

Experts Please explain why option"C" is correct here ?

Aren't we comparing Plural Female sparrows and immatures to singular adult male ? is it correct to compare Plural with Singular ?

does "The adult male" represent the entire class of male ? Plz help !!!

There is no problem comparing singular noun with plural noun.

how come c is correct. we have to compare female sparrows with adult male sparrows only, where as in c its adult male.if any one can put some light on this.

Can we compare singluar noun with plural noun?? I belive i have read somewhere that comparison should be made between similar numbers
