(1) The length of the diagonal is 8 cm.
(2) Length of one side of the square is \(4\sqrt{2}\) cm.

Both statements are sufficient
(1) we get a s:s:s(rt.2) ratio when we cut through the diagonal
now s(rt.2) =8 —> s=4(rt.2), we can find area (Sufficient)
(2) we can find area (Sufficient)
