Please show me the steps to find x

3x+x\sqrt{3} =3+3\sqrt{3}

The answer is x=\sqrt{3} but I need to see the manipulation to get the answer..

Thanks

$$3x + x\sqrt{3} = 3+ 3\sqrt{3}$$

$$x(3 + \sqrt{3}) = 3(1 + \sqrt{3})$$

$$x = 3*(1 + \sqrt{3})/(3 + \sqrt{3})$$

$$x = 3(1 + \sqrt{3})/\sqrt{3}(1 + \sqrt{3})$$

hence x = $$\sqrt{3}$$

i think x\sqrt{3} should not be written like this ..it creates confusion because someone might think "\" is division ...
