Since \(x&y = \frac{x-y}{x-1}\), similarly we can write
\((-3)&q\)=\(\frac{-3-q}{-3-1}\)=\(\frac{-3-q}{-4}\)
Given, \((-3)&q=2\)
Or, \(\frac{-3-q}{-4}=2\)
Cross-multiplying, we have
-3-q=-8
Or, q=-3+8=5

Ans. (D)
