A and E are the contenders.

The problem with E is it makes it look like the arrowweed is supported by the posts. But the whole roof is supported by the posts. Choice (A) correctly mentions this.
Also it is apropriate to describe each dwelling because otherwise we dont know each dwelling had how many roofs.

I would go with E.

Each may be to confuse with the shade (just like multiple window shade). I don't think that each here is mentioned for dwelling. Also each loses continuity.
