here the object is a dividing line .... so B, C out.
of A, D and E, A & E are wordy .... D is the one.

a different colour dividing line between two same colour blocks
a dividing line where the colour was different between two blocks where the colour was the same

IMO C....because comparision is between two blocks....therefore "two blocks" should be after comprise is proper than "a dividing line"

sentense describe a model wherein lines of 2 different colors are drawn ..
Line 1 -Color X
Line2 -Color Y
Line3 -Color X
Line 4 -Color Y...and so on ...

This is clear reflected in choice C .
All other choice alter the meaning .
