### HideShow timer Statistics

Founded in 1983, the magazine increased its circulation more than double since then; and its advertising.

(A)...
(B) has since increased its circulation more than double,
(C) has since more than doubled its circulation
(D) since then more than doubled its circulation
(E) more than doubled its circulation since then

I've corrected this sentense. Sorry about that.

Tough one. Ideally it should have been

"has since then more than doubled its circulation".

But this option isn't available - closest is C and D.
D omits "has". It almost blanks the time in which the circulation doubled.
C omits "then".
I feel I would go with C.

C should be it. The most concise way to put it is exactly 'has since more than doubled....."

Hi, we need the present perfect tense because of 'since'.

So, I go for C.

(A)...
Clumsy construction
(B) has since increased its circulation more than double,
more than double, is wong here
(C) has since more than doubled its circulation

My pick, maintains parallelism and has since is appropriate.

(D) since then more than doubled its circulation
since then makes it incorrect
(E) more than doubled its circulation since then
wrong

C is the answer. The rule of dumb is that to use present perfect verb form when "since" is used.
